See your week, what is next and your own figures on the Schedule page

What it is

Schedule in the sidebar is the page where each person on your team sees their own week. It opens straight on the signed-in person, with no company, location or person to type. Zelun already knows who you are from your sign-in.

The page is headed Your week, followed by the person's name, and a line saying whether they are on today and at what hours. On it:

  • Next up comes first: the next appointment, with its time, the client, the service, its length and price, how many minutes away it is, and the Desk note if the front desk left one. A client who is already in the chair is marked In chair.
  • This week shows each day of the week. Days off are muted, and a bar shows how full each day is. Pick a day to see it below.
  • The list of that day's appointments, with each one's status. Gaps in the day appear as Open gap rows with how much time they fit.
  • Earned today shows what the person has checked out so far today: Appointments paid, Commission and tips. It says that this is not the amount they are owed, which lives in the pay run.
  • Your week so far shows Hours in the chair, Appointments done, Revenue taken and Tips recorded. Revenue taken is the same checked-out figure your reports attribute to that person. It never shows pay due, and it points to the pay run for that.
  • Your hours shows the seven days with the working window of each, or Closed.
  • Time off lists the person's time off this week and has a Request time off button.

Before you start

  1. The person must have a staff record at a location with sign-in switched on. If not, the page says that no staff record with sign-in is linked to their account and asks them to have an owner link their profile. It is an explanation, not an error. See the staff directory article.
  2. A person who works at more than one location sees a row of buttons, one per location. Pick the one whose week you want.
  3. Everyone's times are shown in the location's own time zone.

Steps

See your own week

  1. Open Schedule. Your week is already there.
  2. Read Next up for what is coming. Press View today to jump to the list of the day, and Call client if the client's phone number is on file.
  3. Pick another day in This week to see it.

Check out the visit in the chair (owner)

  1. If you can check visits out, Next up also shows Check out and Open diary.
  2. Press Check out. The checkout receipt for that appointment opens, as it does from the appointment book.

Edit hours (owner)

  1. Owners see Edit my hours beside the page title. Press it to change your own working hours. When you are viewing another person, the button changes to edit that person's hours instead.

Look at another person's week (owner)

  1. Owners see Viewing with the person's name. Press it to open Switch person.
  2. Choose another person, and if you manage several companies or locations, Another company or location.
  3. The page now shows that person's week, with the same cards. A line says whose week you are viewing.
  4. A team member who is not an owner has no such control. They see only their own week, and a short note says the page is worked out from their sign-in.

Ask for time off

  1. In the Time off card, press Request time off. The time off article explains the request, what it costs and how it is decided.

What your clients see

Nothing. This page is for your team. Clients see only what you offer on your booking page. Time you take off, or hours you change, decide which times clients can book.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a pay due figure here. The week figures say what was taken, not what is owed. Pay due is in the pay run.
  • Expecting to type a company or person. You do not. Owners can switch person from the Viewing control.
  • Seeing someone else's week as a team member. That is deliberate: the control for it is for owners only.
  • Seeing only the empty message. The person has no staff record with sign-in on. An owner needs to link their profile.
  • Wrong times for a location in another time zone. Times follow the location's own time zone, not your computer's.
