Put your logo, cover photo and colour on your booking page, for the company or one location
What it is
Your brand kit makes your booking page look like your business instead of a generic page. It has three pieces:
- Logo: a small picture of your logo.
- Cover photo: a wide picture shown at the top of the page.
- Accent colour: the colour of your buttons, links and highlights.
You set the kit once for the whole company. If one location should look different, for example a second shop with its own logo, you can override any of the three pieces for that location only. Each piece is decided on its own: a location can have its own colour while still using the company's logo and cover photo.
The brand kit is included for every business, whatever your plan.
Before you start
- Have your images ready as standard image files in png, jpg or webp format. Vector files (svg) are not accepted. A logo can be up to 1 megabyte and a cover photo up to 2 megabytes.
- Know your colour. You can pick it with the colour picker or type its hex code, for example a six-character code that starts with a hash sign.
- The company-wide kit is under My business and the per-location panel is on each location's page under Branches, both in the Setup group of the sidebar. If you are sent to a Forbidden page, ask the account owner.
- To change one location's brand you must be the company owner or have been given brand access for that location. Otherwise the screen says you do not have permission and nothing changes.
Steps
Set the brand for the whole company
- Open My business and find Brand kit.
- Under Logo, choose an image file. It uploads and saves right away, and a small preview appears with a Clear button.
- Under Cover photo, choose an image the same way.
- Under Accent colour, pick a colour or type it in Hex code. The Preview bar shows how it will look. Press Save. The screen confirms with Brand kit saved.
- To remove a logo or cover photo, press Clear next to it.
Override the brand for one location
- Open Setup, choose Branches, click the location, and scroll to Brand for this location.
- Each of Accent colour, Logo and Cover photo shows Inherited from company or Overridden for this location, and None set if there is nothing at all.
- For the colour, pick or type it and press Save accent. For the logo or cover photo, press Override and choose a file. Once overridden, the button reads Replace.
- To go back to the company's version of a piece, press Use the company's on that row. The screen confirms changes with Brand saved.
- You can also replace just the cover photo from Edit branch under My business, with Cover photo override.
What your clients see
- Logo. Your logo appears in the header of the booking page. The same logo appears on the page where a client manages their appointment.
- Cover photo. Your cover photo appears across the top of the booking page.
- Accent colour. Buttons use your colour, and links and coloured text use a darker version of it so they stay readable on a white page. On a phone, the browser bar can also take your colour.
- Home screen icon. When a client adds your booking page to their phone's home screen, it uses your logo as the icon, and the page's tab icon follows your logo too. A logo that could not be turned into icons falls back to Zelun's default icon.
- Per location. A client booking at a location with its own overrides sees those. A location with no overrides shows the company's brand. If nothing is set anywhere, clients see the standard Zelun look.
- Shared links. Your cover photo or logo, and your colour, are also what appear in the preview card when your public page link is shared.
Common mistakes
- Picking a very pale colour. The screen refuses it and asks for a darker shade, because text and links in that colour would be hard to read. Soft pastels and near-white colours usually need a darker tone.
- Uploading a vector file or another format. Only png, jpg and webp files work. If the upload fails, check the file type and size, then try again.
- Uploading a very large photo. Keep logos under 1 megabyte and cover photos under 2 megabytes.
- Expecting a location change to affect every location. An override applies to that location only. Change the company's brand to update all locations that follow it.
- Changing the company's logo and expecting an overridden location to follow. A location with its own logo keeps it until you press Use the company's.
- Seeing a message that brand images are not set up. In that case the image buttons are not available and Zelun needs to finish enabling them. Try again later or contact Zelun support.
- Not seeing your new image right away in a shared preview. Messaging apps can keep an old preview for a while.
