Share your booking page and see what your clients see

What it is

The booking page is where your clients book by themselves, any hour of the day, without calling you and without creating an account. Each location has its own booking page, named after the location. A client picks a service, picks who they want to be seen by, picks a time and leaves a name and phone number. The appointment lands in the same appointment book you use at the desk, so a time taken online is never offered twice.

Each location can also have a separate public page, which is a simple web page that presents the location (services with prices, hours, address, map and team) and can be found through search engines. It has a button that sends the visitor into the booking page. The public page is optional and you turn it on per location.

Both are included in every subscription band. Neither one lists your business next to other businesses: a visitor only ever sees your own locations.

Before you start

  1. Make sure the location has at least one service and at least one person who can perform it. Without them there is nothing to book.
  2. Set the location's weekly hours. If no hours are set, the location shows no opening and closing times, and the screen reminds you that clients can book any time until you set them.
  3. Optional but worth doing: an address matched on Google Maps (so clients get an address and a directions link), a short About this location text, and your logo, cover photo and accent colour.
  4. Currency and region matter: prices on the page appear in your business's currency, and dates and times follow the location's own clock.

Steps

Get your booking link

  1. Open My business and go to the Locations section.
  2. Find the location. Under Public booking link you will see the full link.
  3. If you want to know where bookings come from, choose a Link attribution (General link, Instagram or Google) and press Copy attributed link. Use the Instagram link in your Instagram profile and the Google link on your Google profile.
  4. Paste the link wherever your clients are: your social profiles, your Google listing, WhatsApp messages, a QR code at the door.

If you only want to send a client to one particular person, open Staff, find the person's card and press Copy booking link or Share on WhatsApp.

Turn on the public page for a location (optional)

  1. In the Locations section, press Edit on the location. The Edit branch panel opens.
  2. Tick Public page. The note under it says the page can be found by search engines and that this does not guarantee rankings.
  3. A box appears with the address of the page and a Copy button. Press Copy to share it.
  4. Press Save. To take the page down later, untick Public page and save again.

Make the page more attractive

  1. In the same Edit branch panel, write About this location. It is optional and shows above the service list.
  2. Add your Brand kit (Logo, Cover photo, Accent colour). It colours the buttons and puts your logo and cover on the page.
  3. For team members you want to show with a photo and specialties, open Staff, open the person and tick Show on public booking in Public profile. Only an owner can do this.

What your clients see

The booking page

  • It opens straight from your link. There is no login and no payment wall before they see your services.
  • At the top is your location name, with your logo beside it and your cover photo above, if you have set them. Your accent colour is used for the buttons. Zelun appears only as a small credit at the bottom.
  • A status line tells them whether you are open now and when you close, or when you open next. They can press Show hours to see the week, with days that share the same hours grouped on one line and closed days marked as closed.
  • Your address and a Directions link appear before they choose anything, when the location has an address. Your About this location text appears too, when you wrote one.
  • The steps are Service, With, When and Your details. The With step offers First available and each person. If only one person can do the service, this step is skipped. Team members whose profile is visible show a photo and specialties; the others show only a name.
  • In When, they pick a day and then a time. Days when you are closed are marked Closed, and days with no space left are marked Full. For a service where several people are free at the same time, they can see who is available.
  • In Your details they enter their name and phone, and optionally their email, a promo code, and a tick box to get confirmations and reminders on WhatsApp. It is unticked by default. They are told that no account is needed and that the manage link is how they change or cancel later. A link to the privacy notice is shown at this step.
  • If your location asks for a deposit, they are asked to pay at confirmation. Which payment options appear depends on the payments you have connected.
  • After Confirm they see You are booked. No account needed., with Manage this booking, Add to calendar, Directions and Book again. The manage link lets them reschedule or cancel that one appointment, and nothing else.
  • Clients who have booked before can enter their phone and be offered the same service and person as last time.
  • The wording follows the client's browser language, English or Spanish, and falls back to English for any other language. Names you typed, such as services and staff, stay as you wrote them.

Words and prices for a clinic or practice

The booking page speaks the words of your business type, which you picked at sign-up: patients and practitioners for a clinic, students and tutors for a tutor. If you turn on Hide prices on Public booking in the review of suggested settings on My business, the service list shows Fee confirmed at your visit instead of an amount; the deposit, when you ask for one, is still shown on the last step. A service marked as a video visit shows Online — link sent with confirmation instead of the address.

The public page

  • It shows your location name, company name, logo and cover, the About text, Services with their duration and price, Hours, Address with a map and Get directions, and your Team (names and job titles).
  • A Book an appointment button takes the visitor to the booking page of that location, with no further sign-in.
  • The page exists in English and Spanish, and each version points to the other.
  • If you have not turned Public page on, the page does not exist for that location.

Common mistakes

  • Sending the public page when you meant the booking link, or the other way round. The public page presents the location and has a button to book. The booking link goes straight into booking. For ads, social bios and WhatsApp, the booking link is usually what you want.
  • Cutting the link short. The booking link carries a code at the end that the page needs. If it is missing, the client sees a message saying the link is missing a key and to ask the business for their booking address. Always copy the whole link.
  • Forgetting the hours. Without weekly hours, clients can book at any time of day. Set hours for every location.
  • Expecting staff photos to appear automatically. A person's photo and specialties show only when Show on public booking is ticked.
  • Expecting a search ranking. Turning on the public page lets search engines find it. It does not promise a good position.
  • Expecting a company-wide search across your locations. Each location's booking page books only that location. The product does not currently give you a link or button to share a search across all your locations at once.
