Sign in on the booking page (optional)

What it is

You never need an account to book. You can always book with just your name and phone number. If the business offers it, the booking page also has an optional Sign in button. Signing in only adds a few extras, and it never opens anything on the business's side: it is only for you.

When you are signed in, you can:

  • See your list of appointments with that business under Your appointments.
  • See your notifications for that business (the bell). The article on booking notifications explains what they show.
  • Mark a team member as a favorite, and see a Favorite tag next to appointments with that person.
  • Send a service as a gift to someone else (the article on gifts explains how).

Before you start

  • You need the same phone number you use to book, because that is how the business recognizes you.
  • The button only appears if the business has turned sign-in on. If you do not see it, you can still book as a guest.
  • Signing in is separate for each business. Your list shows only appointments with the business whose page you are on.

Steps

  1. Open the business's booking page, or the link to manage your appointment.
  2. Press Sign in and follow the steps in the window that opens.
  3. When you are signed in, the button changes to Sign out, and Your appointments appears.

Mark a favorite team member

  1. Start a booking and go to the step where you choose who you want.
  2. On a team member's card, press the favorite icon. Its label reads Add to favorites when it is off and Remove from favorites when it is on.
  3. Press it again any time to remove the favorite.

Sign out

  • Press Sign out.

What happens next

  • Your appointments are listed with the service, date and time, and status. Appointments with a favorite team member show Favorite. If you remove a favorite, the tag goes away.
  • Choosing a favorite does not lock you in. You can always pick someone else when you book.
  • Some shops offer to start your next booking with your favorite already chosen. You can still change it.
  • If you have no appointments yet, the page says No appointments at this business yet.

What you cannot do here: the booking page has no screen for changing your name, email or message preferences, and your phone number cannot be changed from it. If your details are wrong, tell the business so they can correct them. To change or cancel an appointment, use the link in your confirmation message.

Common mistakes

  • Looking for Sign in and not finding it. The business has not turned it on, or the page says optional sign-in is not set up. Book as a guest instead.
  • Expecting to see appointments from other businesses. The list is separate for each business.
  • Expecting the favorite icon without signing in. It only shows when you are signed in.
  • Using a different phone number than the one you booked with, so earlier appointments do not appear.
