Join a waitlist when no time suits you
What it is
Sometimes a day is full. If you would still like that day, you can ask the shop to message you on WhatsApp if a time opens up, for example when someone cancels. This is the waitlist. Joining does not book anything. It only puts you in line to be offered a time.
Before you start
- A phone number with WhatsApp, because the offer is sent there.
- Your agreement to be messaged on WhatsApp when a time opens. You must tick a box for this.
Steps
Join the waitlist
- On the booking page, choose your Service, then your day under When.
- If that day is full, a card in the When step says the day is fully booked and offers the waitlist, next to the times that remain. If another day is nearby it also shows a button such as Or pick that day with how many spots are left. If the day has times, this offer does not appear.
- Under Times that work for you, choose Any time, Morning, Afternoon or Evening. You can choose more than one.
- Under Days to wait for, tick the days you would take, up to the number shown.
- Fill in Your name and WhatsApp phone.
- Tick Message me on WhatsApp when a slot opens. The join button stays off until you do.
- Press Join the waitlist.
You then see You're on the waitlist, with the days and times you chose and How it works: if a spot opens that fits you get a WhatsApp message, the first person who matches has a set number of minutes to confirm it, and if you are not interested you can say no thanks and keep your place. You can press Book another day instead, or Leave the waitlist.
When a time opens
- You get a WhatsApp message with a link. It opens a page titled A slot opened up, showing the service, who it is with, the place and the time.
- The page says to claim it before a given time, or it goes to the next person.
- Press Book this slot to take it. If a deposit is needed to hold it, the page says so and the button reads Pay & book this slot. You see You're booked. See you then!
Say no to one offer
On the offer page, press No thanks, keep me on the list. You see No problem. You're still on the waitlist for the next opening. and the slot goes to the next person. You will still be offered future openings.
Leave the waitlist
Press Leave the waitlist after joining, or use the link in any message we send you. You see Done. You've been removed from the waitlist. and you will not get more offers.
What happens next
If you join, nothing is booked yet. If a matching time opens, you get the offer. If you take it, you are booked at once. If you let it pass, it moves to the next person. Joining the same service and day twice does not put you in line twice.
Being on the waitlist does not promise you a time. It depends on whether one opens.
Common mistakes
- Not seeing the waitlist option. It only shows on a day with no times. If times exist, book one.
- The join button is grey. Fill in your name and phone and tick the WhatsApp box.
- "You're already waiting on the maximum number of days here." You are on as many waitlists as this shop allows. Leave one, or wait for one to end.
- "We couldn't add you to the waitlist." Check your phone number and try again.
- "This offer is no longer available." It expired or was already used. Unless you left the waitlist, you are still on it and you will be messaged for the next opening. You may also book from the booking page.
