Change or cancel your booking with your personal link
What it is
When you book, the confirmation includes a personal link called Manage this booking. It opens a page for your appointment where you can see the details, pick a new time or cancel. You do not need an account or a password. Whoever has the link can manage that booking, so keep it to yourself.
Before you start
- Your confirmation, on the page you saw right after booking or in the message you received. The link is there.
- For cancelling, a short reason. The page asks for one.
Steps
See your appointment
- Open Manage this booking from your confirmation.
- At the top you see the shop's name and a line with the service, who you are with, and the day and time.
Reschedule
- In the Reschedule section, pick a day, then a time.
- Press Save new time. The page says Rescheduled.
- To pick a different time before saving, press Change next to the time you chose.
Cancel
- In the Cancel section, type a Reason. It is required.
- Press Cancel booking. The page says Cancelled.
What happens next
After you reschedule, the appointment moves to the new time and the shop sees the change. After you cancel, the appointment is cancelled and the time can be offered to someone else.
When you booked, the page may have shown a line such as Free to cancel until a given time. That is the shop's deadline for cancelling without a cost. If you cancel after it, or you do not come to your appointment, fees may apply if the business has set them. Ask the business about their rules if you are unsure. A fee is taken from your deposit first, then from a card you left on file if the business asks for one. If you cancel on time, or the business cancels, no fee applies.
If you paid a deposit, your page still opens after you cancel, and shows how much of it is yours to take back and lets you choose a refund or credit. If moving a visit this late costs a fee, the page tells you the amount first and asks you to confirm. See the article on choosing what happens to your deposit.
Common mistakes
- "That time is no longer available." Someone took it. Pick another time.
- "No times this day." Try another day.
- "Enter a reason to cancel." The reason box cannot be empty.
- "This manage link has expired." The link no longer works. Contact the business to change your appointment.
- Using a link from another booking. Each appointment has its own link, so check the service and time at the top of the page.
