Use My business to see what is left before you take bookings and to manage company settings
What it is
My business, in the Setup group of the sidebar, is the page for your company as a whole. It tells you what is still missing before you can take bookings, and it holds the settings that belong to the company rather than to one location.
The header shows your company name, the date the company started, how many locations you have and their names, and a short company ID with a button to copy it. While anything on the list below is open, a Setup incomplete label sits next to the name. When everything is done, it disappears. Share on WhatsApp and Open public page lead to your booking page.
Before taking bookings is a card that lists what is left, worked out from your real information every time you open the page: connect payments, set a time zone on every location, choose a plan, choose a business type, connect each location with Google Maps, verify your mobile, add your first service and set opening hours. The card says how many are ready, with a progress bar. Items that stop bookings from working properly come first, done items go last with a tick, and each open item has a button that jumps to the section where you fix it. An item Zelun could not read at that moment is left out rather than counted as a problem.
Sections. A menu beside the page lists seven sections, and an amber number on a section says how many open items it holds. Pressing one scrolls to it.
- Business: the Business type card, company name, country and currency, brand kit, same-day absences and recurring visits.
- Catalog: your services, chairs and rooms, and intake forms.
- Payments and deposits: how you charge clients at each location.
- Promotions: promo codes, referrals and gifts.
- Messages and notices: who Zelun tells about account matters, and the limits on when clients are written to.
- Plan: your Zelun subscription, usage, and invoicing settings for Mexico.
- Branches: your locations, with Add branch and Manage regions.
Most settings appear as a row with a summary of what is set. Press Edit to open it, and Close to put it away.
Before you start
- You need to be the owner of the company. My business does not appear for a team member who is not the owner.
- A new company has a short list of open items. That is expected.
Steps
Finish the open items
- Open My business and read Before taking bookings.
- Start at the top. Press the button on an item, for example Connect, Fix, Choose, Search, Verify, Add or Set. The page scrolls to the section that holds it.
- Make the change there. The item shows a tick the next time the page loads, and the progress bar moves.
Open a setting
- Use the section menu, or scroll.
- Find the row, read its summary and press Edit. Some rows show a label: Review when Zelun suggests a second look, Off or Pending, or Requires payments when the setting needs payments connected first.
- Make your change in the panel that opens and save it there.
Where things are
- Your business type and the words Zelun uses: the Business type card in Business.
- Company name, country and currency: rows in Business. The currency is locked after your first payment.
- Services: the list in Catalog. Cleanup time and rooms are set from a service.
- Who is notified about account matters, and by which channel: the matrix in Messages and notices.
- Your mobile number for WhatsApp notices: the Your mobile row in Messages and notices.
- A location's hours, time zone, closures and cancellation fees: its own page, opened from Branches.
What your clients see
Clients never see My business. What you set here shows up indirectly: the company name and brand kit on your booking page, the services they can book, the words used for your business type, and the deposits and rules you choose.
Common mistakes
- Treating the open items as optional. Items marked as blocking, such as a time zone left at UTC, make hours look wrong to clients. Fix those first.
- Expecting a missing item to show. If Zelun could not read something at that moment, for example your mobile verification, that item is left out until it can.
- Looking for the old layout. The page is now one list of sections. Notification settings are in Messages and notices, locations are in Branches, and the currency and country are in Business.
- Looking for Clients, Packages or the WhatsApp sender here. They have their own pages in the sidebar.
- Expecting a branch setting here. A location's own settings are on that location's page.
